As the worries and stresses of life weigh us down, it can take a toll on posture and your health in general. Hypnosis helps create in your mind an awareness of how you are moving, standing or sitting and consciously helps you improve posture. It can remove the stresses through relaxation methods and create more of an awareness about how you stand or sit.
Much of posture is related to muscle tone and the strength of your skeletal system as a whole. When back muscles are in top condition, you will naturally stand a little straighter and taller. Anyone who regularly exercises will notice a difference in their own posture. They will also notice how it makes their mid section seem slimmer too as they effortlessly stand more erect. Regular activities such as standing and walking will help keep up good bone density. Using weights or resistance training will improve muscle tone. The two together will do what is possible physically to improve posture. Hypnosis then picks up where physical ends – the psychological and unconscious factors that affect posture.
If you were able to focus the whole day through on nothing but your posture, you would probably stand perfectly straight all of the time. However, as you go about your day your mind of course is on other things.
